"Rabajà" is a Barbaresco label offered by an estate, which has been enhancing the excellence of the Langhe since the 1950s. The Bruno Rocca winery has retained an artisanal character and still makes great wines with a classic and traditional face. The Rabaja Cru is located south of the village of Barbaresco, in a particularly suitable area. The southwest-facing exposure guarantees excellent sunshine and excellent ripening of the grapes, with rich fruit with very intense aromas. The vines are rooted in soils composed of calcareous-clay marls with sand veins. The grapes reach maturity in October, and after manual harvesting, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with maceration on the skins for two to three weeks. Ageing takes place for 24 months in French oak barrels, followed by 18 months of bottle ageing.
Bruno Rocca's Barbaresco red wine "Rabajà" is an excellent label that gives an unforgettable taste experience to all fans of the great wines of the Langhe. In the glass, it is light ruby red with garnet-coloured highlights. Intense and rich, it is expressed on the nose aromas of small berries, red currant, morello cherry, raspberry, hints of underbrush, delicate spices, floral nuances of violet and dried rose petals. The fruit, rich and ripe, is wrapped in a dense tannic texture that is well integrated with the wine. The sip, long and deep, stretches toward a lingering, fresh and pleasantly savoury finish.
