PASSITO DI PANTELLERIA 'BUKKURAM - PADRE DELLA VIGNA' DE BARTOLI 2019 - 50CL DESCRIPTION

The Passito "Bukkuram" by Marco de Bartoli takes its name, literally "father of the vine" from arabs language, by Pantelleria area favored by Arabs for growing Zibibbo grapes. It’s in this area, in fact, that extending the cellar of Marco de Bartoli, an house of the eighteenth century, where there are 5 acres of vineyard at 200 meters above sea level. The history of this wine beginning in 1984, when Marco decides to put it in bottles for the first time and, in homage to the beautiful land from which comes to life, gives him the name "Bukkuram". This sweet wine was immediately credited with awakening from a long hibernation, the interest of many companies and many wine lovers, who find themselves in this sweet taste of a ground from old winemaking traditions. A little over thirty years of the winery, the reins were taken by Renato De Bartoli, son of Marco, after the untimely death of the latter. The cellar, however, can and should be considered more than satisfied with the results that not only restore the splendor of a land that has for too long forgotten, has made quality its winning weapon. Even in this "Bukkuram" we can find all the passion of the company in producing high quality wines: a wine full of personality, able to bring all the warmth, colors and scents of the island on which it is born. A wine that definitely speaks the language of the late Mark.
