Côtes de Bordeaux Rouge Domaine de Saint Amand 2019

The Bordeaux Rouge of Domaine de Saint Amand was born in Cambes, on the sides of the Garonne river near Cadillac. A fresh and easy to drink red wine, it ages in steel and this allows the development of a lot of freshness and the full expression of fruity aromas: blackberries, red currants, blueberries, raspberries and also a light note of leather on the finish. On the palate the pleasant fruity aromas perceived on the nose are extremely persistent and the wine has a balanced sip in the mouth. To drink young or after it has aged for a couple of years, perfect with a meat stew or semi-aged cheese

CÔTES DE BORDEAUX ROUGE DOMAINE DE SAINT AMAND 2019 DESCRIPTION

Cadillac Côte de Bordeaux Rouge is the most representative label of Domaine de Saint Amand. The estate is a small, family-owned business that makes wines capable of expressing the characteristics of a great terroir, among the most vocated in the world for the production of red wines. The excellent location of the vineyards and impeccable savoir-faire, give a bottle of great quality, which offers a very interesting quality-price ratio. Vinification in stainless steel restores the expressive purity of the bouquet and its ripe and rich fruity pleasantness.

Rouge Cadillac Côte de Bordeaux is the fruit of one of the finest terroirs in the appellation. Domaine de Saint Amand is located in Cambes, a few kilometers south of Bordeaux, and it cultivates about 3 hectares, conducted with full respect for the environment. Since 2020, the estate has been certified HVE 3 (Haute Valeur Environnementale) and has been organic since 2021. The Merlot and Malbec vines are about 30 years old and are grown on limestone-clay soils, with the presence of alluvial gravel from the Garonne. The draining soils and mild climate provide a perfect habitat for the red grape varieties, which are harvested when they reach ideal ripeness. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks with maceration on the skins and the use of CO2 to avoid unwanted oxidation. Before bottling, the wine matures in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fragrance of varietal aromas.

The Côte de Bordeaux Cadillac Rouge wine from Domaine de Saint Amand, allows a direct appreciation of the primary aromas of the grapes, in their full and rich expressive ripeness. Fragrant and intense, it presents an exuberant bouquet characterized by aromas of small berries, in particular blackcurrant, blueberry, wild blackberry, delicately spicy hints and light floral nuances. The palate shows rich, ripe fruit and a fine, delicate tannic texture. The sip is pleasantly juicy, broad and satisfying, lively and expressive. The finish on the palate has a good length and flavor persistence with a pleasantly fresh finish.
