Juicy, flowing and easy to drink, the sip is sleek and inviting, while the nose offers fruity notes of cherry and raspberry accompanied by slight vegetal and spicy hints. CANNONAU 'NOSTRANU' BERRITTA DORGALI 2022 DESCRIPTION

Berritta Dorgali's Cannonau di Sardegna 'Nostranu' is a youthful and accessible interpretation of the territory of the Oddoene Valley, where the estate's vineyards are located. In particular, the grapes destined for this bottle come from the youngest vineyards, which are conducted under a certified organic regime, as is the entire vineyard area of the winery. The Berritta winery is also a member of FIVI, the Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti (Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers), an association whose aim is to promote and protect the figure of the independent winegrower.

Berritta Dorgali Cannonau di Sardegna 'Nostranu' is a 100% Cannonau cultivated in accordance with the principles of certified organic agriculture. The vineyards from which the grapes come are about 20 years old and are situated on particularly well-drained soils originating from granite disintegration at an altitude of 180 metres above sea level. Harvesting is carried out entirely by hand in boxes at the beginning of September, and the bunches are then transferred to the cellar and destemmed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks in contact with the skins for 8-10 days through the action of only the yeasts present on the grapes and in the vinification environment. During this phase, daily manual punching-down is carried out, followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Maturation always takes place in steel and continues for 8 months until bottling and final marketing.

'Nostranu' Cannonau di Sardegna di Berritta Dorgali is a pale ruby red. Fruity notes of cherry, raspberry and blackberry emerge on the nose, combined with subtle vegetal and spicy hints. Fresh and juicy, smooth and drinkable on the palate, with soft tannins and a pleasant fruity finish.
