Champagne 'TC' is a vintage of extraordinary class and elegance, whose name derives from the ovoid terracotta vat (Terre Cuite = TC) used for the initial vinification. This champagne is made from pure Chardonnay grapes from the Grand Cru of Choully, located on the Cote des Blancs. Its refinement, creaminess and perfect balance are accompanied by notes of small pastries, citrus fruits and brioche bread.
The sparkling wine house Vazart-Coquart presents the Champagne Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 'TC', a bubble with an elegant and articulate personality. This label is part of the 'Vintage' selection, a collection that pays tribute to the precious and unrepeatable result of a single vintage. The wording 'TC' then stands for 'Terre Cuite', meaning 'terracotta', a reference to the fact that the sparkling wine base is entirely processed in oval terracotta vats, containers capable of enhancing the essence of the terroir.
Vazart-Coquart Champagne Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 'TC' Extra Brut is a 100% Chardonnay that originates in the Grand Cru village of Chouilly, which is part of the Côte des Blancs. The vineyard, located in the lieu-dit l'Aventure, has an average age of 45 years and rests on soils formed by a chalk-rich subsoil. Agronomic management is inspired by the dictates of organic farming and in the cellar, the grapes are vinified in white, with gentle pressing and no malolactic fermentation. The entire process takes place in oval terracotta vats while the subsequent mousse takes place in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method, combined with at least 48 months of ageing on the lees with a cork stopper. Degorgement is carried out by hand à la volée and the sparkling wine is finally dosed as Extra Brut, at 1.5 g/l residual sugar.
The Blanc de Blancs Champagne Grand Cru 'TC' Extra Brut from Vazart-Coquart has a straw-yellow colour with golden reflections and a very fine and delicate perlage. The complex aromatic bouquet expresses fascinating hints of citrus, custard, dried fruit and brioche, supported by a beautiful chalky mineral vein. On the palate it is creamy, ripe and elegant, with ample minerality describing a long persistent finish.
