Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc 'Florence' Aaldering 2023

The Chardonnay Sauvignon 'Florence' white wine from the Aaldering winery originates in one of the most famous and vocated territories of the so-called new wine world: Stellenbosch in South Africa. Here, a large number of international grape varieties are cultivated, which have been able to express themselves with great success in the area, making a lot of people talk about them. In an area shaped by large-scale producers, Aaldering Vineyards & Estate, founded in 2004 by a Dutch couple, has retained a family dimension, choosing to preserve its most authentic and original face.

Chardonnay Sauvignon 'Florence' by Aaldering is the result of the union of the two white grape varieties, grown on the granite-rich soils of the Cape Winelands district in the Western Cape province. With respect for an ecosystem rich in biodiversity and poignant beauty, methods close to organic and biodynamic agriculture are implemented in the vineyard from a sustainable perspective. In the cellar, fermentations are carried out in steel, separately for each type of grape. Maturation on fine lees for 5 months in stainless steel completes the production process.

This white wine from the 'Florence' line reflects the common characteristics of South African production, declined with great rigour and precision. The aromatic profile is exotic and fruity, playing on fascinating nuances of exotic fruit, lime, citrus and freshly cut grass. The generous, pleasant and confident character is confirmed on the palate, distinguished by softness, balance and intensity. A fine mineral texture sustains the sip and enriches it until the epilogue, when it fades into memories of yellow fruit. It can accompany seafood dishes with great pleasure, particularly shellfish, molluscs and coquillage, but also white meats and unripened cheeses.
