Petite Arvine Rosset 2022

Rosset's Petite Arvine is a dry, fruity white wine made in the mountains of northern Italy vinifying the Petite Arvine grape, a fascinating native varietal. The Rosset winery works hard to express the peculiarities of its terroir, with great love for rediscovering local grape varieties. Notes of citrus, green apple, white flowers and mineral nuances emerge on the nose. The palate is fresh, lively and with a well-balanced freshness that gives the wine good structure and persistence

PETITE ARVINE ROSSET 2022 DESCRIPTION

The Petite Arvine Rosset is a soft and fresh white wine with a distinct mineral tone. The history of the Rosset winery began in 2001 and today the estate has 12 hectares of vineyards scattered along the course of the Dora Baltea river in the Alps of the Aosta Valley. In particular, the Petite Arvine vineyards destined for this bottle are located in Montjovet, in the lower Aosta Valley. As well as constantly striving for quality, Rosset is committed to production sustainability and in fact all the energy consumed in the cellar comes from renewable sources, in particular photovoltaic panels.
Rosset Petite Arvine is a pure expression of the eponymous white grape variety cultivated on sandy soils at an altitude of 600 metres. Harvesting is done by hand towards the end of September and the bunches are then subjected to a gentle pressing, with the resulting must fermenting in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The subsequent maturation phase also takes place in stainless steel and continues for several months before final bottling.
On visual inspection, the Petite Arvine from the Rosset winery expresses a brilliant straw-yellow hue. The aromatic spectrum offers fruity and floral aromas of apple, peach and jasmine, enhanced by refined mineral hints and fresh sensations of lemon peel. Fresh and balanced taste development, characterised by incisive minerality and strong mineral accents accompanying the persistent finish. The producer's recommendation is to serve this Petite Arvine at a temperature of 8-10 °C, pairing it with various hors d'oeuvres, seafood dishes, creamy risottos or light to medium-aged cheeses.

When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied white wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion
