"Pian del Ciampolo" is a red wine made from Sangiovese of great impact, vinified in concrete tanks and aged 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels. Fruity aromas of berries and floral tones of violets give way in the finish to light spicy and toasty hints that create a dynamic and original olfactory profile. The flavor is fresh and clean, with dense tannins and a fairly persistent finish

Pian del Ciampolo Montevertine is a Sangiovese-based wine, very agile and fine, with a balance that borders on perfection. It comes from the experience of Montevertine, a historic winery located in the Chianti hills, famous for its important and prestigious reds and for its significant connection with the Chianti region.
Pian del Ciampolo is a red wine made from young Sangiovese vines and a small percentage of two other grapes typical to the area, Canaiolo and Colorino. These are vineyards located on elevations ranging from 400 to 600 meters, rooted in composite soils of clay, sand, silt, marl and limestone, in a landscape dominated by woods and rugged slopes. After fermentation for about 25 days in cement tanks, ageing involves resting the wine in Slavonian oak barrels for a year and then again in cement and in bottles (for no less than three months).
Pian del Ciampolo Montevertine has been able to distinguish itself for its role at the table, its agility, and its extraordinary ability to elegantly accompany cured meats, meats and meat sauces. It is, therefore, a "gastronomic" wine of great quality and not too complex. The aromas it gives are aromatic and vegetal, leaving the mouth fresh and savoury. The tannins are firm and make themselves felt in the finish, together with moderately mineral notes. The cleanliness, the good freshness, and the perfect vibration of flavours make Pian del Ciampolo a wine of unique and impeccable pleasantness, an excellent companion to the table.
