Pignoletto Frizzante Ancestrale 'Selvadeg' Fangareggi

Fangareggi's Pignoletto Frizzante Ancestrale 'Selvadeg' is one of the first re-fermented wines made according to the ancestral method by this Modenese winery, based on the white Pignoletto grape, also called ‘Grechetto gentile’. This label was created in honour of the times when the owners bottled wine with their grandparents and is produced with the traditional Metodo Ancestrale. Fruit and citrus fruits on the nose accompany pleasant hints of yeast, the effervescent and lively sip makes 'Selvadeg' a perfect wine to accompany cheeses and cold cuts

PIGNOLETTO FRIZZANTE ANCESTRALE 'SELVADEG' FANGAREGGI DESCRIPTION

The Emilian artisan winery Vitivinicola Fangareggi presents the Pignoletto Frizzante Ancestrale 'Selvadeg', a re-fermented wine in the bottle that stands out for its ruspante primordial dimension. This Metodo Ancestrale was produced for the first time with the 2021 vintage after years of studies and dreams, representing for Giuseppe and Matteo Fangareggi, father and son at the helm of the winery, a reminder of the fragrances of "Sunday mornings in March in a new moon when the grandparents were bottling". In fact, Augusto, Giuseppe's father, dedicated himself to wine production by tending a small vineyard purchased in Canolo di Correggio.

The 'Selvadeg' Vitivinicola Fangareggi Pignoletto Frizzante Ancestrale is made from pure Pignoletto grapes, clone of Grechetto Gentile, cultivated according to organic farming principles. Harvesting is done by hand with careful selection of the bunches, which are then vinified through spontaneous alcoholic fermentation. When the fermentation process is not yet fully complete, bottling is carried out in order to promote the slight frothing according to the Ancestral Method. After several months of resting on the lees in the bottle, the wine is finally ready for release.

Vitivinicola Fangareggi's Pignoletto Frizzante Ancestrale 'Selvadeg' has an intense straw-yellow hue with a light effervescence. The nose is characterised by fruity and floral hints of apple and wisteria, complemented by fragrant hints of yeast. The development on the palate is fresh and rustic, of great energy and pleasantness, with a lively finish accentuated by delicate bubbles. By virtue of its light-hearted and fun-loving spirit, this Pignoletto is ideal for lending panache to convivial aperitifs in the company of lifelong friends.
