The Vitivinicola Fangareggi winery is a family-run estate that represents an ambitious project that started from a simple hobby of Giuseppe, the founder of the winery. He passionately brought the family together and started the first vinifications in 2005, building on the history of past generations and launching their range on the market in 2013. Their great-grandparents, in fact, had been producing Lambrusco artisanally for their family's own use since the 19th century, passing down their knowledge of this ancient regional tradition to the current owners. It all began with the purchase of a vineyard in the village of Canolo di Correggio, and over the years production grew, along with the family's passion, resulting in the decision to become a real business.
In recent years, Fangareggi has purchased vineyards in the neighbouring areas of the lowlands of Reggio Emilia and a small part in the Modena area, specifically in Campagnola, Rolo, Fabbrico, Correggio and Carpi. This has increased the number of hectares under vine to 24, which are divided between 8 vineyards, 5 municipalities and 2 provinces. Each variety is cultivated according to the most appropriate type of land. Operations such as pruning and harvesting are carried out strictly by hand, resulting in genuine, high quality wines, also thanks to the careful manual selection of the grapes. The company's achievements soon followed, and in 2016 it was awarded the certification of Azienda di Eccellenza Italiana, testifying to the quality of its wines.
