Pratto is an aromatic, intense and fine white wine produced by the famous Ca' dei Frati winery. The nose reveals notes of tropical fruit and vegetable nuances, with hints of minerals and hints of honey. In the mouth it is full and pleasant, with freshness and savouriness in perfect balance. Ideal with savoury cheeses and with delicate but structured first courses
Pratto, a splendid white wine, is the result of the famous Ca' dei Frati winery, located a couple of kilometres across the border between the Veronese and Brescian areas in the heart of Lugana. It has been active since 1939, when the Del Cero family chose to leave the Veneto region and move to the shores of Lake Garda, to the estate then owned by the bishop's curia and known since 1782: "of a house with a cellar sita in Lugana in the tener of Sirmione called Luogo dei Frati."
Pratto Ca' dei Frati is a wine made from a blend of white grapes deeply influenced by the particular microclimate of Sirmione near the southern shore of Lake Garda. The late harvest enhances the aromaticity of the grapes for a harmonious, cohesive result: the concentrated, juicy fruit maintains a great balance with the acidity and mineral savoriness of the calcareous clay soil.
Pratto wine has a deep straw yellow colour, tending to golden; the nose stuns for the variety of the aromatic range in which tropical hints of lime, lychees, cedar and honey stand out on a discreet background of vanilla and toasted notes, green and mineral hints. A striking impact that induces salivation, instilling the desire to taste: on the palate, it is warm, soft-bodied, but intense and persistent, with an attack of rich sweetness, which is followed, after a balanced acidic and savoury interlude, by a long finish, where the fruity and mineral olfactory sensations return.
