PROSECCO RIVE DI SANTO STEFANO MILLESIMATO BRUT LUXURY MIONETTO 2022 DESCRIPTION

The Prosecco 'Rive di Santo Stefano Luxury Collection' Brut Millesimato is an expression of the Valdobbiadene area with a balanced and complex style, produced by the renowned Mionetto winery in Veneto. The grapes destined for this label come from the steep slopes of the Rive di Santo Stefano, one of the most prestigious areas in the Prosecco Superiore di Valdobbiadene area. The term 'riva' derives from the local dialect and indicates precisely these very steep slopes, in this case those of the hamlet of Santo Stefano, extending over a total of around 200 hectares. It is precisely the steep slopes of these vineyards that require manual harvesting.

Prosecco Mionetto Millesimato Brut "Rive di Santo Stefano Luxury Collection" is made from pure Glera grapes grown on the steep, predominantly clay soils of the Rive di Santo Stefano. The grapes, harvested entirely by hand, are gently pressed in the cellar to produce the must, which undergoes alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats. The vintage wine is then placed in autoclaves for the setting of the foam using the Martinotti method, also known as the Charmat method, and after a few months on the lees and in the bottle, the sparkling wine is finally marketed with a residual sugar content of between 7 and 9 g/l, in the Brut category.

Mionetto's Prosecco Millesimato Brut "Rive di Santo Stefano Luxury Collection" is straw-yellow in colour with greenish highlights and a fine, persistent effervescence. The nose offers notes of green apple and pear, followed by intense citrus notes such as grapefruit and lemon and hints of orange blossom. The palate develops finely, with good freshness and sapidity, and a finish balanced between sweetness and pleasant bitterness.
