Jermann's 'Afix' is an aromatic and persistent pure Riesling. Obtained from the Friulian vineyards rooted on the characteristic 'flysh' of marl and sandstone, this fresh and velvety white wine is characterised by important aromas of sweet yellow fruit, balanced by pungent citrus hints of lime and grapefruit and by mineral and floral memories. On the palate it is well-balanced and very persistent, ideal with vegetable creams or main courses of fish accompanied by savoury sauces

The “Afix” Riesling from Jermann is a distinctive expression and celebration of the Collio Friulano region. Unique and highly successful, Jermann has skillfully combined a special terrain, capable of imbuing its grapes with a mineral touch of absolute finesse, with a grape variety that can express itself in intriguing and wonderfully elegant tones. Dedicated to Aloyz Felix - son of Silvio Jermann - this is a Collio Riesling that excels in precision both on the palate and on the nose. The winery, located in the Gorizia area, pays great attention to the environment and the land, which is maximized to its fullest expressive potential. These are enhanced by the grape, the protagonist of Jermann's daily work both in the vineyard and in the winery. Frankness, elegance, and pleasantness coexist within the same bottle.
Jermann “Afix” is made from pure Rhine Riesling, sourced from vineyards with southwest and northeast exposure, located on the characteristic marl and sandstone soils that distinguish the Collio area. The harvest is done manually, and the collected grapes are transported to the winery. Here, vinification begins, which is partially carried out in the presence of the skins to enrich the aromatic profile. Both alcoholic fermentation and a brief aging process take place in steel containers.
“Afix” Riesling by Jermann has a straw yellow color, enlivened by bright greenish reflections. The bouquet plays on fresh tones of white and yellow fruit, citrus, and aromatic herbs. The freshness is confirmed on the palate, along with the typical Friulian mineral sapidity, which enhances the inherent verticality of the grape variety. The overall sip is smooth and very balanced. A fine persistence encourages another glass.
