RIFERMENTATO IN BOTTIGLIA 'SCIGHERA' FIORANO DESCRIPTION

With its cheerful and refreshing spirit, the Rifermentato in Bottiglia 'Scighera' from the Marche-based Fiorano winery is a perfect Metodo Ancestrale to uncork on carefree occasions. Tradition and sustainability are the two terms that best frame Fiorano's artisanal winery. With about 8 hectares of vineyards conducted under a certified organic system, located in the province of Ascoli Piceno, the estate enjoys a prized territory, squeezed between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennines. The unique microclimate, characterized by the constant presence of sea breezes and significant daily temperature fluctuations, as well as the spontaneous and genuine production spirit, are the prerequisites for giving birth to purely typical expressions.

'Scighera' Fiorano Rifermentato in Bottiglia is made from white grapes grown on a certified organic regime. The vines are about 25 years old and are located at an altitude of 270 meters above sea level on limestone-clay soils. Manual harvesting of the grapes is followed by soft pressing and alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks operated by indigenous yeasts only, with temperature control. The must-wine is then bottled with still some residual sugars for light frothing according to the Ancestral Method. Along the entire process, clarification, filtration, stabilization and sulfitation operations are then excluded, and the wine is finally marketed without being subjected to disgorgement.

Fiorano's Re-fermented in Bottle 'Scighera' has a straw yellow color with golden flashes. The nose has aromas of ripe fruit and herbs that meet floral notes, in a fragrant and articulate ensemble. The taste is fresh and creamy, lively and alive, with juicy fruit perceptions combined with a pleasant mineral trail. A bottle to enjoy as a serene aperitif, perhaps paired with delicious ascolane olives.
