RIOJA JOVEN SEÑORIO DE LIBRARES 2022 DESCRIPTION

The Rioja Joven by the family-run estate Señorio del Librares represents a very fresh and lively interpretation of the Rioja region. The category "Joven," literally "young," is created to highlight those wines specifically designed to be consumed young, still bursting with fruit. These Riojas are generally produced without any wood aging, resulting in fresh and graceful expressions, never overpowering, suitable for everyday enjoyment.

Señorio de Librares Joven Rioja originates from a blend of Tempranillo (80%), Graciano (10%), and Mazuela (10%) grapes grown using eco-sustainable agronomic practices. In the cellar, the grapes are destemmed in stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperatures with maceration on the skins for 10-15 days. This is followed by complete malolactic fermentation and then aging for several months in steel containers. The final release onto the market occurs after a further brief rest in the bottle.

Visually, the Rioja Joven by the Spanish cellar Señorio de Librares displays a cerulean red color with violet reflections. The olfactory profile carries fruity notes of cherry and berries, along with delicate floral hints. The taste development is rich and fresh, highlighting delicate tannins, as well as juicy sensations, with excellent balance, and a finish of red fruits consistent with the aroma. Due to its fresh and approachable character, this Rioja Joven should be served at a temperature of 14-16°C, paired with assorted appetizers, charcuterie and lightly aged cheeses platters, legume soups, or grilled meats, such as ribs, pork loin chops, or sausages.
