Rosato Frizzante 'Sollazzo' Villa Calicantus 2022

The Rosato Frizzante 'Sollazzo' is a bottle-refermented wine with an agile and flowing drinkability produced by the Veneto-based winery Villa Calicantus. This production reality, located in the heart of the Bardolino Classico area, is managed by the Delaini family following the dictates of organic and biodynamic agriculture in order to respect this beautiful territory located close to Lake Garda. The estate mainly raises the native varieties Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara, through which it gives rise to genuine wines of great authenticity.

Villa Calicantus Rosato Frizzante 'Sollazzo' is made from red grapes grown in accordance with the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture on soils of morainic origin, at an altitude of 165 meters. Harvesting is done manually and the grapes are then vinified into rosé through brief contact between the must and skins. The mass ferments in stainless steel tanks thanks only to the intervention of indigenous yeasts, and the wine is then placed in bottles and added with fresh must for re-fermentation. Throughout the entire process, the liquid does not undergo any clarification or filtration.

Villa Calicantus' 'Sollazzo' Rosato Frizzante has a deep pink color with orange flashes. Lively and pleasantly citrusy the nose in its hints of lemon zest, grapefruit juice and blood orange, combined with notes of red fruits and rose petals. The sip is fresh, graceful and drinkable, characterized by a subtle and pleasant bubble. This is an ideal wine to enjoy as a lighthearted and convivial aperitif, capable of "soothing" the taste buds.
