Caprili's Rosso di Montalcino is an intense, fragrant red wine, aged for 6 months in Slavonian oak barrels. It is rich in fruity scents, with pleasantly ferric, chinny aromatic trails. The sip is taut, elegant and characteristic, with good persistence
Rosso di Montalcino Caprili is the fresh, taut and intense expression of the Montalcino hills, not overly demanding but very pleasant and versatile. It comes from one of the area's historic producers, Podere Caprili, who has always been faithful to a philosophy that looks towards ancient traditions and pursues a classic style.
Caprili Rosso di Montalcino is made from Sangiovese grapes that have reached full ripeness. Vinification takes place naturally and spontaneously, without the addition of yeasts or other additives. After a maceration of about two weeks in cement tanks, as tradition dictates, the wine is transferred for ageing to Slavonian oak barrels of different capacities: 30, 40 and 60 hectoliters. A further bottle ageing of at least 6 months completes the production process and ensures Rosso di Montalcino reaches its full expression.
Rosso di Montalcino Caprile stands out in the Montalcino scene for its fruity personality and its fresh, ferruginous vein, which is very pleasant and flowing. The sip is elegant, harmonious and well-balanced, with taut, structured tannins and citrusy, quinine aromatic trails. This is a full-bodied and intense red wine, not too complex, that lends itself to the accompaniment of traditional meat dishes as well as first courses and cured meats, born in the lineage of great Tuscan wines from strictly classic and traditional techniques.
