Soave Classico 'Brognoligo' Cecilia Beretta - Pasqua 2023

Soave Classico 'Brognoligo' Cecilia Beretta di Pasqua is an elegant interpretation of the Veronese white par excellence. The Garganega grapes are left to dry for about three weeks, and part of the mass matures in barriques and undergoes malolactic fermentation. Thus a complex aromatic profile develops with floral and tropical fruit hints, with subtle toasted notes. The palate is fresh and savoury, with a characteristic bitterish finish well balanced by the softness of the sip.

SOAVE CLASSICO 'BROGNOLIGO' CECILIA BERETTA - PASQUA 2023 DESCRIPTION

The Soave Classico 'Brognoligo' signed Cecilia Beretta - Pasqua is an organic white wine with a taut and mineral essence, typical traits of the Garganega grape variety and the Soave area. The Brognoligo sub-zone is located in the classic area of Soave, the historic site of the appellation, where already in Roman times fine wines were produced, praised even by illustrious authors such as Virgil. In the second half of the 20th century, in order to meet the growth in demand resulting from the success of Soave, the production area was considerably enlarged to form the generic Soave appellation, whose average quality, like that of other illustrious Italian appellations, does not however reach the peaks of the Classical area.

The Soave Classico Cecilia Beretta - Pasqua 'Brognoligo' is a 100% Garganega from vines about 15 years old grown in a certified organic system on basaltic eruptive soils with alluvial residues. The clusters are harvested by hand about 2-3 weeks late, so as to develop a slight withering on the vine, and are then vinified white by means of soft pressing and alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is stopped for most of the mass, with the exception of 10%, which instead completes the fermentation process in French oak barriques, where malolactic fermentation also takes place. The subsequent maturation phase takes place on the fine lees, again between steel and barriques, for a period of 3 months before final bottling.

The 'Brognoligo' Soave Classico di Cecilia Beretta - Pasqua has a pale straw yellow colour with brilliant greenish highlights. The aromatic bouquet proposes inviting floral and fruity hints of chamomile and tropical fruit, associated with light hints of toast and mineral memories. Fresh, savoury and well-balanced on the palate, characterised by a nice almond aftertaste that accompanies the pleasant finish.
