Spumante Dolce Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio 'Cà Lustra' by Zanovello is a dessert sparkling wine with irresistible aromas of sweet fruits and flowers. The Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio DOCG is a denomination that encompasses various types of wine, from dry white wine to passito, as well as sweet, still or sparkling versions. The varietal basis of the appellation is Moscato Giallo Fior d'Arancio, a clone of Moscato Giallo widespread in the Euganean Hills, characterised by a thick, coloured skin and intense aromatic scents reminiscent of orange blossom, hence the name.
Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio 'Ca Lustra' Zanovello Spumante Dolce is made from only Moscato Giallo Fior d'Arancio grapes cultivated using sustainable practices on soils of volcanic origin, characterised by an abundant presence of limestone and clay. After the harvest, the bunches are transferred to the winery where they undergo a gentle pressing, with the must thus obtained being channelled into stainless steel tanks for spontaneous alcoholic fermentation, the same type of wine vats where the wine rests for several months. Subsequent frothing takes place in steel autoclaves according to the Martinotti Method, otherwise known as the Charmat Method, while the final dosage is around 100 g/l of residual sugars.
Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio Spumante Dolce 'Cà Lustra' Zanovello is straw yellow in colour with golden hues and a fine, persistent effervescence. The nose presents intriguing floral, citrus and fresh, exotic white fruit notes, soon joined by nuances of aromatic herbs and hints of white musk and pastry. Taste of great intensity and sweetness, yet not lacking in balance thanks to the pleasant freshness and minerality, elements that prelude the final taste closure.
