JAKOT RADIKON 2018 - 50CL DESCRIPTION

The Tocai Friulano "Jakot" by Stanislao Radikon is one of those wines that anyone who loves the biodynamic philosophy should try at least once. Here are the absolute excellence of biodynamics, in an area rich in history and charm. On the height of Oslavia, near Gorizia, Stanislaus Radikon has created a kind of magic; a hilly area, with a very favorable climate for the development of the vine, vines laid out in great slope, with a perfect exposure in the South, Southeast and on rich soil "ponca", the typical clay, deep, looks like a rock for the unity that characterizes it. The philosophy of Radikon is something wonderful: Stanislao has always poured every effort into producing traditional wines without the use of chemicals, minimizing the treatments in the vineyard and in the cellar, respecting nature and its laws . The land, air and water do their job, the most important job in the country; man is only a completion that should give reinforcement when nature needs it and who must transform this charming nectar in wines of great impact and emotion. The "Jakot" by Radikon comes to life in the last days of September, when it is harvested by hand and when it is left to ferment in oak vats in contact with the skins for an amazing time, at least 3-4 months. The uniqueness does not end there because after fermentation, aging also has features all its own: 40 months in oak barrels. A period which helps to enhance the magic and charm of Tocai Friulano "Jakot" by Stanislao Radikon in the glass is offered with a beautiful golden yellow color, vivid and intense, and that beautifully combines the complexity of almond, typical of the grape, with the calls of tropical fruit and spicy finish. And large, fresh and tangy and has an amazing complexity. A wonderful wine for all those who love the biodynamic.
