TRENTO SPUMANTE BRUT NATURE TONINI DESCRIPTION

Tonini's Trento Spumante Brut Nature is a bubbly with an Alpine soul , strongly linked to its territory of origin. The family-run Tonini winery is located in Isera, on the southern side of the Trento DOC zone, where in 2011 Marco Tonini, descendant of a lineage of winegrowers, began selling the first bottles under the family surname, officially starting the estate's history. In running the business, Marco is later joined by his son Filippo, a graduate of the Istituto Agrario di San Michele all'Adige.

Spumante Tonini Trento Brut Nature originates from a blend of Chardonnay (70%) and Pinot Bianco (30%) grapes cultivated in the high hills using an agronomic approach that respects environmental health. When the berries have reached the right stage of ripeness, the grapes are harvested and the resulting white vinification of the bunches is carried out through gentle pressing and alcoholic fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks. The maturation phase, which lasts 7 months, also takes place in stainless steel, with the subsequent frothing taking place in the bottle in accordance with the Metodo Classico technique. At the end of the long 30-month maturation on the lees, the sparkling wine is finally disgorged, without any dosage attached.

Spumante Trento Brut Nature by Tonini possesses a straw-yellow colour with fine, persistent bubbles. The intriguing aromatic bouquet expresses delicate hints of wild flowers, citrus fruits and bread crust, joined by pastry nuances on the finish. The progression on the palate is well contested between the creamy effervescence and the marked freshness, with a forthright and dynamic finish of remarkable persistence. The producer himself suggests pairing it with various types of cured meats, seafood cuisine or vegetable-based first courses.
