Raccaro's is a historic winery in Collio Friulano. It all began with Giuseppe Raccaro, who in 1928 decided to move to an old farmhouse at the foot of Mount Quarin, the hill overlooking Cormòns, where he could count on a small vineyard and a stable for animals. In the 1980s his grandson Dario decided to abandon less profitable crops and devote himself entirely to wine production, adding to the land he owned the lease of an old vineyard of Tocai friulano: the Vigna del Rolàt.
Raccaro's vineyard extends with eastern exposure for 6 hectares on soil composed of marl and sandstone, locally called "ponka," which give the wines a distinct personality and considerable structure. The vines reach more than 50 years of age. Farming is careful to maintain the health of the vines and preserve balanced production by keeping the soils grassed and limiting intervention.
Production focuses mainly on white wines such as Friulano, Malvasia, and Collio. Those of Raccaro are elegant wines, with a characteristic minerality and important body. Perfect for enlivening moments to remember with impeccable grace.
