Whisky Facile

The Whisky Facile project saw its beginnings in Milan in 2011 with young Jacopo Grosser and Giacomo Bombana, who were intent on channeling their passion for whisky into a business to be shared, telling about this fascinating world with a certain irony. The team expanded in 2018 when Marco Zucchetti, refined taster and popularizer, joined, and in 2019 with Davide Ansalone, photographer and social media expert. The goal is to tell and review the best whiskies in the world, and in this Whisky Facile was the first Italian blog ever. There are several collaborations with distilleries in the industry, such as Pernod Ricard and Beija-Flor, which to avoid conflicts of interest are not reviewed, thus maintaining total independence and impartiality. Given the success, in 2020 Jacopo, Giacomo, Marco and Davide translated the entire site into English as well. Fundamentals of the tasting technique developed by Whisky Facile are the nose, palate, finish and overall impression, criteria that allow a subjective analysis of the whisky culminating in a score in hundredths. In addition to its popular activity, Whisky Facile selects the best products from Scotland, the United States and England.

Distilleries selected by Whisky Facile process the finest Scottish, English and American malts through the highest quality fermentation and distillation processes, respecting established local traditions. Oak casks, often previously used for maturing Bourbon or sherry, are used for long aging. These are almost exclusively single malts produced by celebrated distilleries such as Caol Ila, Glen Ord, Ben Nevis and Staoisha.

The distillates in Whisky Facile's catalog are divided into two selections: 'The Black Cat Series' and 'A Space Whisky Odyssey,' packaged with imaginative custom labels. These are whiskies of extraordinary depth of expression, selected one by one by the expertise and passion of the Whisky Facile team.
