ETNA ROSSO 'PASSOROSSO' PASSOPISCIARO 2019 DESCRIPTION

The Etna Rosso Passorosso by Passopisciaro is one of those wines that can interpret and beautifully tell the story of a terroir, Etna, which in recent years has managed to rise to prominence thanks to the hard work of producers increasingly quality-conscious and respect for the environment. Passopisciaro is a case in point: Nerello Mascalese here is grown on vines that have between 70 and 100 years of age, at an altitude of between 500 and 1000 meters, on the slopes of Etna. The "Passopisciaro" born in the vineyards of the districts Arcuria, Malpasso, Favazza, Guardiola and Feudo di Mezzo, on rich volcanic ash and trace elements and is treated in a completely natural way, using sulfur powder, clay, propolis extract and seeds grapefruit. Passopisciaro, always careful to preserve the distinctive characteristics of its wines, the left to ferment for 15 days and then it does refine for about 18 months in large oak barrels. The result is a great wine of Etna, a wine with pungent and narrow; Nerello definitely a young man who has much to say in the next few years, with a strong body and law on which to build the magnificent evolution which we are sure will be able to give. "Passopisciaro", the real cru of Etna...
