Gabriele Cordero's Roero Arneis 'Innav' is a dedication to Vanni, Gabriele and Serena Cordero's grandfather, who taught these young winemakers the love of the land, grapes and wine. 'Innav' is a fresh, mineral and extremely aromatic white wine: on the nose it expresses notes of tropical fruit and white peach, on the palate it is complex, juicy and persistent

On the left bank of the Tanaro river, north of the famous Langhe region, the Roero Arneis 'Innav' by Gabriele and Serena Cordero is born, a Piedmontese white wine with a fine and mineral aromatic profile. In the Roero area, also famous for the eponymous denomination reserved for Nebbiolo, Arneis is the most widespread variety. Although highly appreciated in ancient times, the current success of this grape variety began in the 70s of the last century thanks to forward-thinking producers who started to vinify it in purity, focusing on quality. The name 'Innav' is a tribute to Serena and Gabriele's late grandfather, Vanni, who is also depicted on the label while harvesting grapes with Gabriele as a child. Gabriele and Serena Cordero's Roero Arneis 'Innav' is a 100% Arneis from vines of about 30 years of age planted on predominantly sandy soils in the municipality of Priocca. The plants, located at 300 meters above sea level with a south-eastern exposure, are grown according to sustainable viticulture. After the harvest, the grapes are softly pressed, and the resulting must is conveyed into stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature. The same type of wine containers are also used for the subsequent phase of maturation on fine lees, which lasts for a few months accompanied by frequent batonnage. Gabriele and Serena Cordero's Roero Arneis 'Innav' has a straw-yellow color with greenish reflections. The olfactory profile reveals delicate scents of white peach, citrus fruits, mango, and wildflowers, enriched with mineral and fresh sage sensations. The taste is fresh and pleasantly fruity, with a long mineral persistence. This is a tasty Arneis in its youth and is able to comfortably support a further brief bottle aging.
