The Domaine Faiveley is the largest and most important Maison in Burgundy, known for the excellent quality of its wines. Founded in 1825 by Pierre Faiveley, the winery has been handed down from father to son for 7 generations and is currently led by Erwin Faiveley, who preserves and renews the family tradition and values. Historically located in Nuits-Saint-Georges, the Domaine has been progressively expanded with the acquisition of plots in the best crus of the Côte d'Or: Gevrey-Chambertin, Clos-de-Vougeot, Pommard, Volnay, Puligny-Montrachet and Corton-Charlemagne.

The vineyards of Domaine Faiveley cover a total of approximately 120 hectares. 12 hectares are Grand Cru and 27 Premier Cru, 3 of which are the exclusive property of the family: Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru "Clos des Issarts", Beaune Premier Cru "Clos de l'Ecu" and Corton Grand Cru "Clos des Cortons Faiveley". The winery keeps yields low to obtain a higher quality of grapes and production is limited, but ranges in variety. The originality of the Burgundy region lies in the complexity of its geological composition, which leads to the formation of different "climats". For this reason, the Faiveley family aims to enhance the unique characteristics of each individual plot. Two varieties are cultivated, Chardonnay for the white wines and Pinot Noir for the red wines. Meticulous attention has always been dedicated to the work in the vineyard, where every stage is taken care of down to the smallest detail to ensure the ideal ripening of the grapes and the maximum expression of the terroir. For the Faiveley family, respect for nature and biodiversity is of paramount importance, testifying to the good health of the vines.

In the cellar, all stages of vinification combine the traditional method with modern equipment and processes. After harvesting, which is done strictly by hand, the grapes are fermented on indigenous yeasts in open wooden vats. A slow, soft pressing is then carried out, resulting in an intense flower must of high purity. The wines are then left to mature for 12 to 18 months in French oak barrels and then bottled without filtration. The wines of Domaine Faiveley reveal good structure, ample aromatic complexity and high ageing potential, and finely express the unique characteristics of the Burgundy terroir. They are wines of the highest quality and noble companions for elegant occasions.
