In the heart of the magnificent Langhe, a land of ancient beauty and winemaking tradition, lies the cellar of Ferdinando Principiano. A son of this land, Ferdinando embodies the authenticity and passion of the winemakers who have cultivated the vineyards on these hills for generations. In 1993, armed with a degree in oenology and enthusiasm in his heart, Ferdinando took the reins of the family business. From the outset, he embarked on a journey of discovery and innovation, guided by his deep connection to the land and his poetic vision of winemaking. However, it was in 2003 that he fully embraced this genuine production philosophy: he sold the barriques and purchased large oak barrels from Slavonia, eliminated all synthetic products, and abandoned the use of sulfur dioxide.

Ferdinando Principiano is an authentic, passionate, and courageous winemaker. His wine production is unique because it is entirely based on love for the land and respect for nature. Consider that in this cellar, grapes are still pressed with feet, stems are kept in the must, only indigenous yeasts are used, and pump-overs are performed manually. All of this without concern for certification or label, because for him, the result is what matters. By working in harmony with nature, he allows the vines to express their maximum potential without artificial interference. His wines are slow and meticulously crafted, reflecting the rhythm of nature and the authenticity of the terroir.
