Ronco del Gelso is a family winery that, in less than twenty years, George Badin has transformed from a small winery in one of the biggest of Doc Isonzo. Like other Friulian vigneron George has built his own convictions on the ground, experiencing any agronomic and winemaking tendency himself. Not only: that two photovoltaic systems ensure total energy self-sufficiency of the cellar, while burning the vines to ensure the heating. In front of Cormons are the different parcels of property, distinguishable by a management style uniform, regardless of the arrangement or the variety. George knows every single leaf of his estate and is able to determine with accuracy what the future may collect from those grapes. The cellar of the agronomical choices have always gone along with the peculiarities of the territory of Cormons, which, given the poor nature, allows only a quality grape growing, resulting in the emergence of great wines only when are made courageous choices, but weighted in the vineyard and in the cellar. The location of the vineyards of Ronco del Gelso places them in a climate that is perfect but for the growing of grapes: in summer sea breezes from the south moderate the temperature, while in winter the northern mountains protect the area from cold winds. This is ideal for the production of white wines of great texture, flavor and personality. Isonzo climate and soil determine wines in a sweet aroma, a pungent body rather than fresh, with a high quantity of fruit. Ronco del Gelso stands out because it favors the perfection of the territory and the characteristics of the grapes, always adopting agricultural techniques minimally invasive and respectful recognition of the vine. Only in this way you can give life to a truly amazing range of labels, where the quality is constant and increase harvest during harvest.
