Tenuta Magrini is a Piedmontese winery skilled in interpreting the Monferrato territory, which was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2014 for the beauty of its landscapes and the historical-cultural importance of its vineyards. The winery embraces a sustainable and genuine production vision. It is located in Grazzano Badoglio, a hilly area of the Lower Monferrato, where the couple Maura and Massimiliano began the activity in 2022 after purchasing an old farmhouse with an adjoining forest and vineyards. The presence of the forest surrounding the estate enhances the temperature range between day and night, ideal for the optimal ripening of the grapes, while also promoting biodiversity, as evidenced by the frequent presence of hares, badgers, and fawns strolling through the vineyards. The winery's logo depicts a wine glass from above, illustrated in a modern and effective style.
The vineyard park of Tenuta Magrini is mainly dedicated to Barbera, the symbolic grape of Monferrato, represented by vines over 20 years old, along with the noble Nebbiolo, the latest variety planted. The vines grow on hilly terrain with a full southern exposure, made primarily of limestone and marl. The altitude is around 350 meters above sea level, and the agronomic and enological practices are enhanced by organic certification. After manual harvesting, the fermentation processes take place spontaneously in stainless steel tanks. For the subsequent aging phase, either steel containers or French oak barriques are used, depending on the wine. The wines are then bottled without any clarification or filtration and with low doses of added sulfites. Additionally, lighter bottles with a low environmental impact and corks made from sustainable, 100% recyclable raw materials are used for packaging.
The range of wines from Tenuta Magrini reveals various interpretations of Barbera, offered in a fresh and juicy style with Barbera d'Asti 'Millecolli', in a more structured and deep style with Barbera d'Asti Superiore 'Madonna dei Monti', and even in a refreshing Rosé version.
