Florio's Marsala Superiore Dolce is a sweet jewel of the Trapani hinterland, made from Marsala saplings and low espalier. After the harvesting of overripe grapes, a technique that allows the development of a high sugar content, fermentation begins in cement vats followed by maturation in oak barrels in Florio's cellars on the coast. The nose reveals intense hints of dried and sweet fruit, such as dates, sultanas and hints of honey on the finish. The palate is dense, with soft sweetness and great warmth.
