Tiefenbrunner is one of South Tyrol's historic producers, representing high quality and reliability. Christof, with the help of his wife Sabine, now represents the seventh generation of the Tiefenbrunner family, which has been involved in the world of winemaking since 1848. The winery is located in South Tyrol, in Niclara, where there is a beautiful 12th century castle and a large park with centuries-old trees, a small lake, a hydroelectric power station that provides energy, and stone and wooden statues dating back to the end of the 19th century.
Today, the Tiefenbrunner winery cultivates 25 hectares of vineyards, while other winegrowers in the surrounding area dedicate a further 45 hectares to the production of grapes. For Christof and Stephan Rohregger, the winery's enologist, the harvesting and subsequent processing of the grapes is fundamental: the philosophy is to be able to exploit the quality and characteristics of each grape variety as much as possible.
All Tiefenbrunner wines are delicious, fresh and mineral, created from a wide variety of grape varieties, many of which come from organically farmed vineyards. The jewel in the crown of the production is undoubtedly the Muller Thurgau Feldmarschall, whose production vineyard is truly spectacular, located at an altitude of over 1000 metres on the Favogna plateau in a truly unparalleled climatic environment. This is certainly a winery to be experienced, to be tried again and again, to rediscover with every sip the expressive clarity and impeccable balance of South Tyrol's quality production.
"Produciamo vini molto orgogliosi che sanno da dove provengono e che sopravvivono alle mode passeggere grazie alla propria unicità"
Christof Tiefenbrunner
