CHAMPAGNE BRUT PREMIER CRU 'TRADITION' MAGNUM LALLEMENT MASSONNOT DESCRIPTION

The Champagne Brut Premier Cru "Tradition" is the cuvée that best exemplifies the classic style of Lallement Massonnot. It serves as a true calling card for the Maison, providing an excellent introduction to their more complex and prestigious range of Champagnes. It is crafted with a balanced blend primarily of Meunier, complemented by Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In the glass, it offers a soft and fruity sip, rich and expansive, leading to a lively, fresh finish. It is particularly well-suited for enjoying as an aperitif or pairing with appetizers or seafood dishes with simple preparations and delicate flavours.

The Premier Cru "Tradition" is a Brut Champagne from Lallement Massonnot, a historic Maison in the Montagne de Reims region, cultivating vineyards in these lands for over a century. After selling grapes to the Courmas cooperative for many decades, the family started producing Champagne under their own label in 1981. The estate spans 5 hectares and is divided into numerous plots, mostly classified as Premier Cru. The vineyards are located in Coulommes-la-Montagne, Pargny-lès-Reims, Saint-Euphrasie, and Gueux municipalities. Harvesting is done manually, and the grapes are pressed and vinified separately by grape variety and plot. After a few months of ageing, the final blend is created. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method, with a minimum of 36 months of ageing on the lees.

The Premier Cru Brut "Tradition" Champagne from Maison Lallement Massonnot is the ideal choice for those who prefer a soft and fruity taste, broad and rich, characteristic of cuvées primarily composed of Meunier. It presents a straw-yellow colour with a fine and continuous perlage. The bouquet entices with aromas of white flowers, citrus hints, flavours of white-fleshed fruit, Mirabelle plum, and nuances of bread crust. Smooth and creamy, it has a pleasantly harmonious and fruity palate entry, leading to a savoury and very fresh finish.
