NEBBIOLO MASSOLINO 2022 DESCRIPTION

The production history of the Massolino family is indisputably linked to the cultivation of the Nebbiolo, a symbol grape for Langhe winemaking able to rise to the role of key factor of the great local crus through its different variations. The family Massolino has driven forward its commitment to grant the highest expression of Nebbiolo since the '60s, with the acquisitions of vineyards with unique positions in Serralunga d'Alba, one of the areas most suitable for the cultivation of this indigenous variety. Faithful to the traditional production model of the Langhe, the family Massolino has built a system of knowledge infused with the rural culture of the place, strengthening the role of mediation fielded by the vigneron in the deep link between vines and hills, with habits cemented by time. The land owned by Massolino, located at nearly perfect altitudes, with optimal sun exposures for the cultivation of the vine, gives rise to grapes with unique characteristics, able to offer a Nebbiolo adaptable to developments in long time, in the light of the best examples of Barolo. Although less structured than a Barolo, the Nebbiolo by Massolino knows how to distinguish for its harmony and completeness, with pleasant fruity aromas that evolve into secondary scents of great depth during the aging process. This Nebbiolo is a demonstration of how each wine by Massolino is designed to scale the heights of winemaking excellence, characterizing itself according to an high-level of personality and a remarkable drinkability.

When to open
To enjoy it at its best, we recommend you to let the wine 'breathe' at least 15-30 minutes before serving
When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied red wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion

You can leave it in your cellar for even more than 5 years
