From the 15th to the 18th century, the friars of the Convent of Santissima Annunciata on Monte Orfano produced a great wine; with Curtefranca Bianco "Convento Ss. Annunciata" Bellavista wants to continue this ancient tradition. We are located on the southwestern edge of Franciacorta in a hilly landscape dominated by centuries-old olive trees and small oak forests.
Curtefranca Bianco "Convento Ss. Annunciata" Bellavista comes from a still cuvée of pure Chardonnay, born on Monte Orfano from an ancient vineyard of just over 5 hectares, divided into two parts by a fig tree. Grapes from the two parts of the ancient vineyard are vinified separately, safeguarding micro-differences, in white oak barrels and then blended together into a single, prestigious cuvée. After an evolution of 12 months in the fermentation barrel, the wine rests in the bottle for at least 12 months.
Curtefranca Bianco's "Convento Ss. Annunciata" expresses the fusion of the freshness of the northern regions and the intense aromas of the Mediterranean. Born from a magnificent and extraordinary terroir, it represents the modern and refined expression of the tradition of the friars of the Order of the Servants of Mary. It enchants the nose with mouthwatering aromas of pineapple, peaches, melon and vanilla. It conquers the palate with a fresh and persuasive personality, which stands out, with balanced, savoury and mineral notes that fade very slowly in the finish. A Curtefranca with a glorious history and a modern, refined edge.
